reading is considered as the most
difficult skill for language learners because it requires certain amount of
second language background knowledge such as appropriate language use,
structure of the text, and also suitable diction. This idea is also supported by Nunan (1989) who argues that “learning to write fluently and expressively
is the most difficult of the macro skills for all language users regardless of
whether the language in question is the first, second or foreign
language”.
